The girl at the front desk was the best !!! Very friendly, very helpful, very welcoming, she went above and beyond for my request to change rooms from east facing to west facing. The free breakfast and coffee was a surprising treat!!! The place is showing its age, but the hospitality made up for any unflattering esthetic, also the microwave and fridge were a plus.

I liked the location the best. It was very close to the beach front boardwalk. It was not open during our stay which was nice for a quiet evening and beautiful quiet walk along the beach! There is a laundry mat right next door which was convenient!

I picked this hotel because of the location. We have never been to Santa Cruz so I didn't know what to expect. Unfortunately our day's activities left no time to actually enjoy the location, which was the main reason I picked this hotel. We ended up arriving rather late and left first thing in the morning. I would not have stayed here had I known that was going to be the case. However, if you're looking for a place in Santa Cruz with an unbeatable location, good parking, a free breakfast, and affordable rates, then this is the place! I wish we would have stayed somewhere more central since we were really just passing through town, but we definitely got our money's worth and appreciated the quaint charm of an older hotel.

Carousel Beach Inn has old world charm with modern details. They also have an elevator so the 3rd floor was no problem for me. It was very clean and comfortable. The Boardwalk is just across the street.

Location is AMAZING!!! Literally across the street from The Boardwalk. Very reasonable price for the rooms. Had parking available on site. Very smooth check in process, and they offered late check in which was just what we needed.

The staff were very friendly. It is an older property but has been renovated. The front desk & breakfast area and rooms are nicely done. The location to the boardwalk was awesome - right across the street from the main entrance

staff are very helpful and nice, the good thing to see is that everyone help and do the work even it's not his responsibility. the rooms are nice and big just need to replace the carpets. small balcony so nice. big parking area, coffee all day
